Paul Brings Home Gold at SkillsUSA Nationals

Central City鈥檚 Peter Paul graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Powersports Technology in May and won the gold at the SkillsUSA Championship in June. For the second consecutive year, a 澳门开奖直播 Community College student brought home the gold in the Motorcycle Service Technology category in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of the 2024 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference on June 26-27.

鈥淲ords cannot describe my joy in helping Peter Paul make his dream happen this week,鈥 said Trevor Nebesniak, instructor in Powersports Technology. 鈥淲e seriously did not know if we would even place let alone be first on the podium. It鈥檚 been an amazing ride and he has worked so hard to make this happen. I鈥檓 beyond excited to bring this win home for all of my team at 澳门开奖直播.鈥

There were more than 6,000 state champions participating in 115 skilled and leadership competitions over the two-day competition. The 澳门开奖直播 team of Kolton Ginter, from Omaha, and Caleb Baustian, from Fremont, earned a silver in Mobile Robotics Technology. Other 澳门开奖直播 students competing included:

  • 5th Place in Engineering Technology Design: Nicole Biehl (Lincoln), Zachary Keithley (Falls City) and Gracen Sommerer (Seward)
  • 10th Place in Diesel Equipment Technology: Calvin Kruntorad (Elkhorn)
