Nursing Assistant
Nursing Assistants provide care for patients in long-term care facilities, hospitals, home health care, hospice or mental health facilities. Nursing assistants' duties vary, from providing help with activities of daily living for the patients such as ambulating, feeding, to bathing, toileting, dressing etc. under the supervision of a Registered nurse or Licensed Practical nurse. High school completion or GED庐 is not required. Please note: This course does not qualify for Financial Aid.
One of the prerequisites for any nursing program in Nebraska and many other states is that you must be on the Nurse Aide Registry. To do that you must take an approved course and pass state exams. Successful completion of this course will put you on the registry.

Nursing Assistant lab attire:

To be placed on the Nebraska Nurse Aide Registry, the state of Nebraska requires that individuals must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must have no convictions of crime involving moral turpitude.
- Must be able to speak and understand the English language or a language understood by a substantial portion of the health care facility population.
- Must successfully complete a basic course of training and competency evaluation program for Nursing Assistants approved by the Nebraska Department of Health.
Registrations are accepted by mail, fax, or walk-in. Tuition is due by the start date of the course. Confirmation registration letters will be emailed one week prior to the start date of course.

A: No. You must be at least 16 years of age by the start date of the class you plan
to enroll.
